I'm not saying PV can ever REPLACE wool as the best kilting fabric, but it has it's advantages... it's machine washable AND it is less expensive (and people with wool allergies can wear it).

I PERSONALLY like wool better, but I can afford it. For those on a budget, PV is a good alternative.
You guys at USA Kilts use PV right? I'll double check the site. You have my family tartan and when I get some money saved aside, I'm sure I'll be ordering from you.

Right now I have a favorite kilt from Stillwater, which uses Acrylic. How does your PV measure up against Acrylic? I'm new at this so the materials are an unknown zone for me. The Acrylic is soft, moves very nicely, comfortable, etc. I honestly cannot find a single bad thing about that SWK kilt.

The reason I ask is because I have a PV kilt already that I bought at an 07 Highland games. I believe it is one of the Gold Bros. Kilts. The pleats seem difficult to keep, and are quick to fold over after sitting for a bit, but the Acrylic one seems to hold better and move much better. My old PV kilt has now been reserved for knocking around in and I doubt I'll ever wear it out again.
