I've been listening to Marc's Irish & Celtic Music podcast mentioned above since this thread first came up. I've really come to appreciate his sense of humor (its twisted in the same direction as mine). I really like some of the parody songs he comes up with. Like Emerald Rose's Danny in the jar. I also like The Bard's version of Seven Drunken Nights.

As such, today I bought Emerald Rose's "Con Suite" and The Bard's (I don't like trying to type Brobdingnagian) "The Holy Grail of Irish Drinking Songs".

I've heard better bands but these two are FUN bands.

    Boil my Haggis indeed. :food-smiley-002:

Never heard of them - perhaps they are less giants on the music scene and more Lilliputian?

I totally agree...the Bards are a "fun" band and probably better appreciated live.
