I've also seen Coyote Run several times and they just don't seem to do it for me. I can't quite put my finger on it. It's not necessarily the style of music but more the presentation. When I've seen them, and I have given them several tries as I want to like them, they kind of come across as Renn faire entertainers as opposed to musicians. I'm not saying they aren't good musically but the entertainment value seems to be more important than the music.
Different horses as they say.
I will say however that everone from the band I have talked to is very nice and they do seem to be very popular lately. They seem to be in greater demand at more far ranging festivals the last few years. I would certainly give them a listen if they are playing a festival near you.
