Tartan: Wood
Weight: 16 oz Lochcarron
Yardage: whatever the kiltmaker needed. They are the experts.
Customization: I would like this in a weathered pattern and colours (currently unavailable). I got the 13oz Lochcarron in Weathered Mackenzie a few years ago and I would like to have both sides of the family in my favorite style.

Tartan: Galbraith, both Ancient and Modern
Weight: 13oz. Wool
Yardage: 8yd.
Customization: Three Straps and Buckles
Why: It is my family tartan and I love the look of it. I would go with the 13oz wool because I live in Florida. I cannot imagine wearing heavy wool in this state. I like the deeper pleats even if it means a warmer garment, so therefore, I want the 8yd. I also like the look of the 3 straps and buckles.

Tartan: Davidson Ancient
Weight: 13 oz
Yardage: enough (4?)
Customization: box pleat
Why: I have always wanted a box pleat and the tartan is to honour my late mother and her family

Well, if you insist:
Tartan: Sackett (family)
Weight: 18 oz
Yardage: 8 yd
Customization: regimental weight, two straps, underapron pocket, possibly left-handed, ... not sure about pleating (stripe or sett)
Why: It's my family tartan; I prefer two straps to three; I put an underapron pocket on almost every kilt I sew; and I like the idea of a kilt I can strap on and laugh at Lake Effect Snow.

This is a tough one to decide between the two following....
Tartan: Dunbar Ancient
Weight: 16oz
Yardage: 5 yard (b/c of the added girth)
Customization: Box Pleat by Matt, 2 strap
Why: Maternal family tartan
- or -
Tartan: Maine State Modern
Weight: 16oz
Yardage: 9+ yard (again b/c of the added girth)
Customization: pleated to the stripe by Barb T (unless she advised otherwise)
Why: My home state and a dam nice tartan..
If I had these both, I would likely have a completed "wish list"
But, if I had to chose one, would have to go with the Dunbar

Tartan: Campbell (Breadalbane)
Weight: 16 oz
Yardage: Whatever it takes.
Customization: Box pleats and two straps with hand-forged buckles (if it's going to be handmade, it should all be handmade).
Why: Family tartan for one and I really like the look of box pleats. But it could change to double box pleats after seeing the pictures from another thread here. They look very sharp in my opinion.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

I've got a few already, but what next? This one, maybe:
Tartan: MacKenzie (Seaforth)
Weight: Military 19 oz
Yardage: 8
Customization: 2 straps instead of 3 (it's easier and faster to get out of it); box-pleated; piper's plaid, too!
Why: I want it for piping in full regalia.
Why I am waiting: I'm unsure.

Me next!!
Tartan: Hay modern/ancient
Weight: 16 oz
Yardage: 8 (that means I will have shrunk my butt!!!!)
Customization: Pleated to the stripe, maybe the green one. Something bespoke with the buckles.
Why: I have two tanks already and both in red tartans - pleating to a stripe would make it look a bit different. I'd choose Hay tartan as that's my Grandad's name and would love him to see me in it. Ideally I'd love a blue or green tartan but can't find any I like that have meaning to me.
