I think that is because all of the Chattan Clans have really nice tartans. I would be more than willing to wear any of those tartans. The Chattan tartan is in a lot of ways extra. I'm thinking about it as a Matt Newsome Box pleated kilt, but a full on military box pleated tank would be Awesome!

...to keep my regimental weight Seaforth boxer company in the wardrobe:

Douglas Grey
16 ounce Lochcarron Strome
4 (@= skinny butt) yd box pleat to the sett if possible.
Double layer outer apron (this works for our -20F Burns Supper)
Fringe (Sorry Matt- gotta have it).
Matching bias cut waistcoat.

I've got color matched thread. Now to score some tartan!
