I've a tartan corset matching on of my partners family tartans. The reviews have always been very favourable. But then it is a proper corset so always guaranteed a second look ;-)

Ah, and after the various comments on corsets being horribly uncomfortable, well they are if you don't have them made to your body size/shape... My corset is fairly laced up in this picture but I can still ceilidh dance. A stricking argument for custom made!

My wife makes corsets and other garments quite often, and she just completed a tartan (Wallace) corset for a friend getting married. Unfortunately she forgot to get pictures before she gave it over, so we have to arrange a photo shoot. Now I'm bugging her to make her one for herself.

I'm going to have to show my fiance this thread. There are a ton of classy looks in here. There's also some rather....not classy...looks in here.

I've never been able to understand why women would want to look like 13 year old boys with long hair (runway models.) And I've never understood why men are into that.

My fiance is of the curvy sort, as seen in the photo below. She likes to wear the uncomfortable clothes (corsets, etc.) because they accent her "features." I personally wouldn't mind if she wanted to wear t-shirts and basketball shorts all the time - although I don't mind the other stuff. Anyway, great posts everybody.

Amazon goddess - you're a brave woman! I don't know many people who would post pictures of themself on a public forum like that. You pull off all the looks though. Very classy, and at the same time stunning.

I did two searches on ebay..."kilt skirt" and "tartan skirt"

If you want a plaid/tartan skirt you can get one. Do you know what kilts of equivalent quality would cost?????????? You are NOT gonna brreak the bank, here by buying a kilted skirt off of ebay.

Yes, if you have a particular tartan in mind then you will likely (maybe) have a long wait, watching ebay for a skirt in exactly that tartan, in your size. Also, if you don' t have a credit card, then paying for ebay stuff is a PITB.
