The general opinion of Jacobite Shirts?

I'm not a big fan of the Jacobite shirts, they look like a bad pirate shirt.

As we were walking into the Illinois Saint Andrews Highland Games last Saturday, my daughter spotted a fella in a Jacobite shirt and said, "Oh, look...Shaun Cassidy (pretty boy teen idol of the '70's)." Followed by the Seinfeld quote, "...but I don't want to be a pirate!". My wife said, "Yeah...it is a bit too much, isn't it?"

Now I defended the guy saying, "Well, maybe his wife thinks it's hot and can't wait to rip it off of him when they get home....that's why he's wearing it."

To which my wife replied, "No...I don't think so."

Perhaps...just perhaps...its day has come and gone.

I have one (Had made with long tail for wearing with the kilt) but don't wear it all the time for there is a time and a place for wearing the shirt.
