Will I be there? It's certainly a possibility. I don't know of any schedule conflicts so far.
Kilted? I suppose I could cut my new fabric in half, pleat it, belt it on, and call it a philabeg. I'm afraid I don't have a sporran, hose, or pretty much any other kilt accessories, though. And my only wide belt is burgundy, which doesn't match any of my shoes. Now, from what I've read on this site, SWK should be able to get me all I need and send it to me with time to spare. But I don't think I can scrounge up enough money at the moment. So, if I show up, there's a 97% chance I'll be trousered.
I guess I ought to get to work on that material. I just haven't decided whether it makes more economic sense to start off by buying Barb's book, or by buying a Stillwater acrylikilt (which costs about the same as the book) and taking my time with the wool. Also, I haven't weighed the material yet. Well, I tried weighing it on digital bathroom scales, but it didn't register. If it's heavy enough, I might try to make two 4-yard kilts instead of one 8-yarder.
