I was thinking I just wanted the German Heritage tartan, but now I'm liking the German-American tartan even more. I think the white lines really "pop," adding a nice contrast to the red and black.

I was thinking I just wanted the German Heritage tartan, but now I'm liking the German-American tartan even more. I think the white lines really "pop," adding a nice contrast to the red and black.

It is actually my favorite tartan kilt. Being a Mackay, I of course have a Mackay Tartan kilt, but actually wear my German American a heck of a lot more. I also get lots of comments and questions asking about the tartan leading to some great conversations.

I do like the new Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Tartan that USA Kilts has (http://www.usakilts.com/leomt_kilts.php), and am very tempted. I was going to talk to Rocky at the Celtic Fest this weekend and see if it has been woven yet. It is either that, or the Mackay Blue tartan. Either way the credit card will get some use this weekend!
