Many clans and families have some degree of Norman blood in them. That goes for several other ethnic backgrounds as well; Norse, Anglo, Saxon, etc.. This is obviously to some limiting degree, which would explain the more predominant Celtic bloodline. Some historians have described Scotland as a melting pot, kind of like NY city. Most of these other cultures contributed in some way to what became the Scottish Identity.
From my perspective, it's just another one of those ever prevalent reasons to be proud of your ancestry.

I'm a mix as well Scottish-Norse-Irish-English-Spanish-Chilean-Austrian-German-Yugoslavic (Croatia)-American... Next I'll find out I'm Asian, African, and penguin, then I'll hail from all continents

Ive often wondered about my own family which is a mix of Cameron, Gordon and Taylor, I have very dark hair but a fire engine red beard (which is why i dont grow it), there is some Davies (maybe Davidsons) or even Welsh, Davies, Im also unusually tall for a Scot at 6.3 in saying that I have Anderson relatives which might account for some Nordic DNA giving me the height
