With the braiding, what does that produce for an overall length?
They loose some of their length when finished plus some gets cut off as shown. When I made the test garter, I wanted to start with more than enough yarn in each strand so that I had some to work with. The test garter came out so well with about 4-5" inches being trimmed off. The overall length on mine are 47.5".
My calves are 17" each and I make 2 revolutions around my calve with the garter. What's great, is these are nice and long and are good with cahdah.. which I have also made.
The only part of a kilt outfit I haven't made (DIY) is a kilt belt or knitted hose.
THANKS GUYS, FOR THE NICE COMMENTS!
