    I agree with Glen here: ordinarily an Argyll & black tie is preferred attire for funerals, but it seems that more people are going with PCs nowdays. Given both your desire & circumstances, go right ahead. You'll look sharp & feel good about doing right by your Da.

    First, condolences on your loss. Second welcome to the forum. Third, wear your PC. I am not sure of the customs in the Rockies,, but here on the East coast, it is normal for the family of the deceased to be in very formal attire for the services and the funeral. For some funerals here, if not for the casket, one would think it was a wedding going on in the church.
    The fact that it is a military send off is even more reason to go PC.
