Actually, unless they have added new materials to the line up, alphakilts are polycotton. I love mine, though I have no other contemporaries to compare it to, so I couldn't say how they stack up against the competition.

Thanks for the info: I've got a couple of messages in to them with questions about the waist closures and measurements, and maybe you can answer if you have a few.

What type of waist closure do they have? Is is something that has a bit of give in it, or is it the Utilikilt-style snap closure that only fits a half an inch on either side of the stated measurement.

And

Do they want the waist measurement at the navel like everyone else does, or do they ride on the hips the way some of the more modern kilts do.

And (one last one),

How much ironing do you have to do? Polycotton shouldn't be too bad (not like 100% cotton would be), but do you have to iron after every washing the way I do with my Amerikilts?
