Yeah, I'm with Larry on this one. The rep probably should have better informed you. But the info is available on their site.
From the UK FAQ:
EXCHANGES and REPAIR?
We accept exchanges of new, unworn and unwashed kilts, within 30 days of purchase. Exchanges are subject to a restocking fee. Customer is responsible for shipping to and from The Utilikilts Company RMA Department.
