Kilted to Airports
Kilted on my way to Fresno, had to go thru security at both Louisville and Fresno Airports, no problem at all as I wore a plastic buckle 2" belt and everything metallic in the sporran, no kilt pin.
As of right now I'm waiting for my connecting flight to Louisville in Dallas-Fortworth and there's tons of people staring and giving me all kinds of looks.
Funny thing is, most looks come from those guys wearing them funny hats and em' funny cowboy boots.
hehe, to each its own right?

Oh man! If only I'd known (and had a car -- hubby has it)... I could've met ya out there and visited with ya... I used to live a bit closer to D/FW airport and would meet friends for a few minutes when they had to wait for connecting flights.
Have a good flight home!

Sometimes you get noticed more than others.
I think I have only ever flown without my Kilt once. (And I have flown A LOT!)
Usually the guys letting me into the country are polite and interested and there is always one woman who just has to do a kilt check while my arms are full of luggage.
The only bad experience I have had was when they asked me to remove my Kilt (Not in a private room) so they could put it through the x-ray machine. I did it because I was more interested in getting into the country to see my wife than causing a fuss.
Glad you enjoyed your trip!

Arlen, did they think you had something hidden in the pleats? Hope you were standing there in boxers.
