    I've read them.
Not bad books. I prefer the Island in the sea of time trilogy though.

I've read the series myself and liked it. I've been reading sci-fi, fantasy, westerns and everything else forever it seems like. My grandfather was a big fan of westerns and had all of Zane Greys books. I actually learned to read from his reading them to me, before I started school. I still have them in my collection. Getting back on topic, If it's sci-fi or fantasy, odds are I've read it at some point in time.

They are related. The "Dies the Fire" earth is what happens to the rest of earth when Nantucket is transported to the Bronze Age. Still two more novels to come in the series, can't wait to see how Stirling ties it all up.

    Yup, I know.
I'm quite a fan of SMS I first encountered him when he collaborated with Anne McAffery on some of her sci-fi.
Have you tried Peshwar Lancers? It's a cracking read.

If you like celtic inspired stuff, try the song of albion series by Stephen Lawhead. (Paradise war, silver hand, endless knot)
    It's very, very good

I still got several Star Trek, and Anne Rice "Witches" series to go before I even think of reading anything else.

Besides, when do I have time to read???

I pretty much stick w/ Trek, I did like Farscape, Babylon 5 and love the new Battlestar Galactica. I hate star wars.

Being a total nerd/geek I find myself reading The Andromeda Strain almost annually since highschool.

I've always been a sci-fi nerd, but I get worse as I age.... I wonder if I could get that little label that reads "kilted member" changed to "kilted space marine"?
