Thought I'd resurrect this thread as I've seen a few posts lately asking about budget accessories. I've bought quite a few things from Carse of Gowrie and while I appreciate they are not site sponsors, they are on the European side of the pond and therefore considerably cheaper shipping for us in the Old World.

I've found their despatching service is excellent (next day delivery once your payment clears for mainland UK anyway), the quality and range of items is very good (everything from bonnets to boots) and their prices are very reasonable. They do seem to cater for all budgets and the cheap stuff is not 'cheap and nasty'. (Geoffrey-Made For Scottish... Ughh! don't go there!! quite cheap but very nasty)

I've emailed them about wool kilts and received prompt and clear advice on all their available options. If you ask them a question about a product they get back to you same day and at no point did they try to sell me something that was not exactly as described. I don't think they hide the fact their off the peg handmades are PV (I think 'teflon coated' clearly means not from sheep) and they can provide any woosted wool Kilt you might want (obviously not for 130 quid mind).

I'm not trying to blow any trumpets by the way or detract from any existing sponsors but I am impressed with my experience of them and would recommend them to anyone on the Euro-side of our divide who has an eye on their budget.

Perhaps they should consider sponsoring here?
