But then again, we should all know by now, as a matter of commom sense, that anything made in Scotland or in the US is goung to be a lot more expensive to manufacture.

Precisely because of worker rights, higher salaries, etc.

So, as it has been ranted about in other posts, low priced garments are a dead giveaway of products made in low salaried/low production cost countries, such as, Pakistan of all places.

But then again, given their history, as well as India, of producing British goods, I have no problems with kilts or wool made either in India or Pakistan.

Someone has to cater for those who can not afford an arm or a leg for a kilt or related items. Jerry delivers, and I understand that a $50 or an $80 kilt has to be made somewhere over there.

I agree completely. The kilts Jerry sells are truly a great value. And I would not want to see them go away.

The Frugal Corner seems to have the same or similar sources of production, and their quality seems comparable.

What has drawn the wrath of many on this forum on their heads was their abysmal customer service. (I was fortunate in this area, they were very cooperative with this scatter-brained kilty ). If it wasn't surmised, the fact that they were explaining some of their problems on the political turmoil in their country of production a year ago helped clarify that point in many peoples' minds.

Yet it seems to be commonly agreed that, with their customer service starting to improve, they are a good source for supplying our addiction.
