"LONG JOHNS" with a KILT ????

Somewhere back there I seem to remember that they made a sort of short sleeved, short legged "onesies" for men with a three button henley type collar. The legs were a bit longer than the average boxer briefs legs.

I remember those well, but haven't seen any in about 60 years. They also had a "trap-door" in the back.

I remember them being made in a variety of materials, and weights, for summer, nainsook (a ribbed open weave fabric) in cotton, wool for colder, and "duo-therm" which I think was a trademark, where there was a layer of cotton next to the skin and wool on top for warmth. These, if I remember correctly, were a flat knit.

No...I saw them in the menswear section of a major department store a couple of years ago...they were bringing them back as a sort of sexy, metrosexual kind of thing.

...it may have been in Montreal...that would explain it.
