Ted,
You have reconfirmed my opinion that corduroy is a superb fabric for day wear jackets and waistcoats. An evening jacket cut along the lines of an Argyll in black pinwale corduroy with ribbed or corded silk cuffs and lapels (and matching low cut waistcoat) would look smashing.

Thank you, Sir.
I will point out that this outfit was inspired by your suggestions here on the forum. That would include the use of a brown corduroy jacket, brown hose, and even the very light blue shirt. This jacket also has a matching corduroy waistcoat, as well.
Thank you very much for all your suggestions! Guess I'll start looking into black corduroy...
