For me... I'm lucky; being single, living on my own, with next to no bills to speak of (less than 1k/month total), as a Police Officer making somewhat-decent money... when I want to spend some extra money on my hobbies, I'll just do so. If I need some extra cash, I'll take an off-duty detail or 2 and just use that money instead!
