Kilt measuring is a skill and every kilt maker has their own guidelines for doing such. I would recommend having a person measure the band, rather than members giving their sizes to somebody.

Sadly that is exactly what it sounds like happened here. If people give bad or incorrect measurements than the kilt maker is going to get a little upset if you expect them to fix the mistake. Having said all that, there is no good reason why they made kilts from material that did not match the swatch they sent. Maybe it was a different weight. Does anybody no if that would account for any irregularities in how the kilt looks a little off from the swatch?

House of Edgar is a highly reputable firm and it is sad to hear that you experienced such problems. They should probably stick to weaving and leave others to sort out the problems that come from dealing with the public.
