    Yup, but they'd be easier to carry and lighter for say a hiker or backpacker or traveler.

    Despite what they say it hardly ever rains here in Ore. but I shall look into what they have to offer.

    Ron,

    For the same price one of the lower end Mr. Anthony rain capes fold down to a very small and light package and will protect both your top and bottom halves.

    Heck, a very inexpensive rain poncho will do the same thing for under $10

    I don't see this as very practical
