I'm not a fan of the Jacobite shirt, so I have to pass on anything that would go with it.

That outfit is cool as hell! Of course if you don't go for the Renfaire look, no you're not gonna buy it.
Anywho... guid on ye, McHummel! And pish-posh on the descenters, I say... :P
PS: An' if Arlen would wear it, ye know its cuil! I mean, did yall see his wedding kit? Kick ****, dude.
I actually really like this too, but I also think the knit would look better if it was tighter. You know what would be really cool? To knit the vest to match the knit of the kilt hose....
But I would buy this as is for my husband if given the chance. I say kudos to you for the idea! (says the lass that is a sucker for ghillie shirts)

Here here! I like you.

I like the look, just need a tighter knit.
Yeah, that wouldn't do me a bit of good. I'm slightly larger than you, so there's no way I would fit into that. Thanks for the compliment though!

I really like that, I'd certainly wear one, even with a T-shirt.

Reading this thread, I can only say that I agree with most of posted comments.
Yes it looks nice and yes I see it more like a costume. And this is the only reason I wouldn’t wear it, while I see the kilt as an ordinary (every day) garment, and as a costume only on special occasions.
On the other hand; it’s your garment and if you like it, no one should try to stop you!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree that it is a little "off"", but the idea is basically good. I would tighten up the knitting, (like the idea of matching the kilt hose).
With my history of skin cancer I will wear the gillie shirt when it is hot! It keeps the sun off me, and provides a layer of (relatively) cool air against my skin.
