Just ordered a WPG Gordon Highlander kilt

what's the taper like on these things from waist to hips? Any big guys on here have one?
I've seen pics of a few being worn, but mostly by smaller dudes.
I like the idea of a big heavy kilt, but I'm not sure the WPG ones would accomodate by big girl hips. I'm guessing that if I got it big enough to fit around my butt, it'd be too big around my waist.
Wondering how they compare with Stillwaters??

The "real things" have a somewhat concave tapering and are intended to be worn right up against the ribs and be snug as a corset. Sizes in army kilts nearly follows the waist/hips of a male ideal of 0.85 as modeled in contemporary men's clothing: 86–89 cm (88), 102–105 (104) cm breech is 34" U.S. or size 50 EURO. In woman's clothing the same breech would typically get paired with a 82-85 cm waist. The difference is typically 4 or about 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 inches smaller, resp. 4 cm larger in breech. Traditionally the difference was among youthful styles greater but increasingly as more and more woman, in line with global obesification through android fat, are apple rather than pear shaped clothing has gotten less taper. In western countries today 80 percent of women over the age of 18 have a waist-to-hip ratio of at least 0.9. The golden ratio (0.62) is considered an Eastern ideal. In Western countries the sex icons over the past century have tended to have ratios a bit closer to 0.7. Most males seem to be hardwired to look for mates with waist-to-hip ratios within the range 0.6 to 0.8. Empirical studies seem to indicate that women look not at the hips but the chest and shoulders in relation to waist and find waist-to-shoulder ratios 0.75 or lower attractive (and unattractive above 0.8). The divergence between the continued model of sexuality (sub 0.7 waist-to-hip) and the increasing market realities (> 0.8 waist-to-hip) can explain a rational for pushing for clothing to sit on the hips rather than hang from the waist as it allows the makers to nearly reduce sizing models to hip size.

If you have a small waist then YES. They won't fit but then most contemporary classical skits probably won't either as they are based on a model of mature woman with waist-to-hip > 0.9.
Military kilts, however, through their design downplay the hip to waist ratio and in combination with the standard tunics and doublets create the impression of a lower waist/shoulder ratio. For women the two ratios including mammary glands, by contrast, should be similar but with relatively smaller shoulders.
