1st kilt pictoral: a reverse k x-kilt

So I spent a little more time on the kilt this noon:

Cut, folded, pinned, and pressed contrasting pleat panels (it's red wine/burgundy - pic got a bit washed out)....snip....
...snip...Overall I like the contrasting pleats, but part of me thinks the black/burgundy has too much contrast.

Any thoughts on the color combo?

See! I'm not the only one who takes pictures of "wine/burgundy/MAROON" fabric that looks pink!

I think the color combo is absolutely wizard!
