yet another request for help with hose color

Would brown hose look ok with black shoes, jacket, and accessories?

Call me a renagade, but I'm finding more and more that matching everything precisely isn't needed. Well, for me anyway.

For example; I have a few pair of the WPG khaki hose. I really don't have much khaki-colored accessories. So I often will go with shades of the color. I often will accent my kilt with a totally different color.

Such as, if I am wearing my Gordon kilt, I have worn my medium brown belt and brass buckle, khaki hose, darker brown sporran and strap, and of course my riot inducing, puristically incorrect, BROWN ghillie brogues, (yes, even with the long laces and tassles!).

My first kilt was a VERY red one, Maclaine of Lochbuie. However, after wearing darker kilts, I found that I can get away with wearing things that I just couldn't with the red kilt. The khaki hose just dosen't really go with it, but I admit to wearing them together on occasion.

I say to have fun with it. If it looks ok to you (ok, you might want to get a womans opinion before venturing into public first), then wear it!

I would think so.

Brown is the obvious choice, but you need options. I'd think lovat blue or grey would go well too.
