    Oh well, there you go! I stand corrected. As yet, I have not seen the ad. but then I seldom look at the commercial channels, being such a huge fan of the BBC!

    Actually, come to think of it, I believe most Funeral Directors have access to lone pipers should they be requested for funerals. My own 'farewell ceremony' was arranged and paid for - but not booked - several years ago, and our local Funeral Director had no problems, even down here near Worthing, in including a piper in the arrangements according to my wishes.

    My goodness Ham, delighted to hear that you haven't booked, and I sincerely hope that this particular piper won't be called upon for his services for many many years hence.

    Personally, I'm rather looking forward to an invitation to your 100th birthday/300th kilt celebrations!
