I am a history buff and my wife and kids and I spend our summers camping doing a history trail kind of thing. Well 20 years ago we ran up on a scottish festival while camping and the rest as they say is history. I became interested in my liniage and family history and after years of hounding my lovely wife about NEEDING a kilt I finaly wore her down. Now I am not able to wear the kilt full time. Mostly to fairs and festivals but I do break it out some times when the wife and I go out. I am finding more kilties around my area through this forum and that is great the more the merrier.
As for advice to people trying to find help, to quote a nike add "just do it" don't worrie about it. Any one can wear a Kilt. There are no laws that deal with who has the right to wear a kilt although you will run into self appointed KILT POLICE but pay them no attiontion. Just have fun.
