I have been trying to resist, but I can't. Do they operate a fish & chips store together so one is the Fish Friar and and the other is the Chip Monk?

Great story, Rex. So, did you ask him "The Question"?

Ya know, the thought flitted through my head, but I decided to model the way instead.
I can't believe y'all are still reading this thread!

Rex.

makes it hard to reply if we don't read it first.
and each reply bumps it up, so someone that has not joined the fun can see it, and everyone that has replied see's something new. Perhaps they wonder if you'll go back to the mattress store story. I would love to make it to Jungle Jims kilted if I am so lucky to make it down there anytime soon. I so miss living in WC sometimes. (The region, not the evil that WC seems to bring to mind.)

Well...
As promised, the queen mattress made it around the obstacles and up the stairs, so today's kilted adventure was for the furniture and lamps - only other than trying to explain why I wasn't cold, it was pretty uneventful.

Rex.

Good to hear. We need a new bed, we have needed a new one for a long time, and we would love a queen size, with both kids piling on in the morning, but we don't know if it would fit, let alone getting it into our place.
Of course, I won't go mattress shopping kilted.*

Congratulations on getting the new queen size bed, Rex.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I ran into Friar Chuck again yesterday outside of Best Buy. "We meet again!" he said. He recognized me even though I was in a different kilt. He had on the same frock. He asked if I was going to attend the Dayton Celtic Festival at the end of July (he knew the dates; I didn't), and said he would be there. I hope to see him there - kinda feeling attached to him now.
Regards,
Rex

Reason: I still don't know the dates.

I missed this story the first time around. It's good to hear that you bumped into him again. Friar Chuck sounds like an interesting fellow.
