Those are great looking shoes. I would love to have a pair, and I'm going to start looking something similar on this side of the pond. I may have to buy some kilties and put them on myself.

They are a bit pricey, but they'll probably last for centuries. (I've paid more for dress shoes that probably won't see 2010) I'd say go for it and be sure to post pictures immediately.

IMHO, Shoes are one of the most difficult accessory to choose. I wear what I have ( civilian or "period" & "adapt" to the "look' I am wearing. Those shoes, IMHO woud be GREAT for "Casual" ( Shirts,Turtle necks Sweaters, etc )or "casual" Day wear ( Tweed with out tie)

Some interesting comments~ I'm certainly going to consider buying them, but £135 is quite an outlay for me. There on the wish-list for sure.

I was thinking of these, for a mere $50.00:

Apart from the price they look good. Perhaps they could have a buckle added to the tongue flap to make a more formal look.

$200 for a decent pair of shoes isn't that much. Hand crafted shoes can easily cost ten times as much. Yes, compared to a $40 pair of injection molded, totally disposable, and absolutely non-biodegradable Crocs $200 might seem extravagant, but look at it this way: A decent kilt starts at twice that price, or you can buy a rag from Pakistan for about the same price as a pair of Crocs...

Guys, you get what you pay for. Every time you open your wallet. By all means, wear your Crocs and cheap Pakistani manskirts if you want. But don't whinge about the cost of quality products, okay?
