Do you think these shoes would suit a kilt outfit?

while searching the web, and thought they'd suit a tweedy, hillwalking sort of a kilt outfit. What do other people think?

They look very nice, but I don't think I'd pay 135 pounds ($192) for them. I'd be interested in trying them on, though. I've never had custom-made shoes.

That style is very suitable for wearing with the kilt and traditional. Hoggs of Fife,Scotland also make shoes of that style with commando soles. I wear a pair made by Lobbs on the moor regularly early in the shooting season.

I like them, I think however the price makes hillwalking in them prohibitive, but for the look they are great.

As others have said they certainly look the part. Using them for excursions through the countryside would be up to your budget, though a well made shoe should hold up to such use. Just might not be suitable for dress wear later.
