First, orangehaggis, we are on the same wave length with this. I know some people in the SCA who make these, and I want to have hose in my beloved tartan when I have a kilt in my beloved tartan made.

That being said, except for lining up the tartan, I could make what Matt explains in this link.

Thanks for the link. If you find anyone who can sew by hand, possibly by machine, they should be able to folow those instructions without any trouble at all.
