Although I would not wear anything I didn't feel entitled to wear, it seems to me that if, as originally suggested the copyright fees / royalties were to go towards a not for profit fund that would in some way benefit those left behind by those who made the ultimate sacrifice in a particular campaign, then wearing that tartan would do honor to their memories. As has been mentioned, this may not amount to much, but anything is better than nothing.

Perhaps a charity tartan is more appropriate than a campaign tartan
