[QUOTE=Arlen;633414]Yeah, I really need to learn that lesson FAST!!!
In all seriousness, one of my hobbies is fire-breathing. QUOTE]
Arlen, great looking jacket. I have a tweed jacket that I picked up from the Thrift Store to convert to a kilt jacket. The Mrs. can handle worsted wool (like my kilt) but for whatever reason when she gets around any other type of wool (including sheep) her allergies kicks into overtime mode.
Looks like I'll have to do this conversion meownself.
BTW Arlen, shouldn't fire-breathing be left to dragons??

I love the work I saw in this thread, so I just had to place an order for my very own vmac jacket. Yay!

One cannot say anything other than "great' about that jacket.
And,yes, it does look much better on Diane, but that's beside the point.
Your entire outfit is top notch, and I congratulate you on your choice and Victoria on fine workmansip.

Been a long time since I saw this thread so thank you for all the comments I missed.
I still wear the jacket regularly and I just love it.
As for Vmac's work: I just got back from visiting her and she had made CaptMac the most BEAUTIFUL doublet. Absolutely gorgeous.
And she's making me an Inverness cape that I just can't wait to get.

And we had a great time with all the Boise contingent that made the trek west, but especially Arlen and Diane. They were wonderful house guests and we can't wait to get together again. Captmac's Montrose did indeed look great, and it was very comfortable. The lace cuffs and jabot arrived from Heritage of Scotland, and they are perfect. Great service and product from those folks.

What a great jacket! The question is whether Diane will give it back?

It really is a great jacket. And I honestly think that from now on I will rather pay Vmac to convert jackets I pick than buy new ones for the simple fact she charges a reasonable price to make something fit me properly!
Vmac, I am glad the Jabot and cuffs got to you guys so swiftly. They really looked great and the outfit as a whole was very flattering.
