			A windy kilted walk

So, this morning my wife and I decided we needed to go to the bank to make a deposit. We wanted to take a walk rather than drive to the bank since it is only a few blocks away. Well, last night a strong cold front had come in and we didn't realize just how strong it still was until we were well on our walk. Anyway, I was out in my 9 yard MacGregor tank and had a fleece pull over with a scarf and wife and kids were bundled well for the cold, but we had not considered the wind. I thought with that "beast" of a kilt on it would not matter, and for the most part, it didn't. Then suddenly as we were walking down the street in the town square, the wind seemed to be swirling just right so that the pleats were flying up high. So my wife moved behind while I pulled my fleece low and cinched up the drawstring to hold the pleats below the point of...modesty.
From that point on things were fine. Fortunately, due to the weather not many people were out and about. However, it also meant I had little opportunity for interaction. But it was quite a fun story anyway.

I guess the tank is good against the wind, but a 30-40 mph wind can still lick it.
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. 2 Corinthians 13:14

I was recently going into an office building, the wind was howling and it was blowing straight on. The front apron was plastered to me and no up drafts to lift the pleats. On the way out, the wind was full on the stern. Again, no uplift whatsoever, the pleats were plastered to the back side.
Cheers, and stay off of those Marilyn Monroe up drafts...

Cripes! Now this is something else to worry about. First it was the hose(proper color coordination and all) and are the seams straight, day sporran or no sporran, Flat cap or no, shoes to match belt/sporran. Get out of kilt jail for the kilt police, AND now, NOW I have to worry about the wind before walking out of the house. Maybe the next sporran I purchase will have wind thingee attached. Darn... forget all that, pick out what you want to wear for the day and go with it. It's getting to be way too complicated for something as simple as wearing a klit. ***( All said with tongue firmly placed against cheek)*****Nulty
