It's nice to see that someone else thinks they are an extremely open weave. That's exactly what I thought. In my mind the main reason that they are almost-un-wear-out-able, is that I don't wear them.

You should try them, actually. They are the best hose out there, IMHO.

I did try them. I bought three pair of them, but seldom wear them because of the extremely open weave, after an hour or so standing on my feet they are very uncomfortable. Sure, I could put another pair of sox underneath these, but I got rid of all my short sox when I stopped wearing those hated cloth tubes.
Granted - They are pretty, and almost-un-wear-out-able because few people could wear them as much as a better qualitry pair of hose.
A much better option with the same look would appear to be >>this company<< Their hose are much better made, and do not hurt the feet.

Seconded. I've never had an issue with them being "open-weaved", nor have I ever had to wear another pair of socks under them.
