I always got confused about Vancouver. For some reason, I keep thinking it's a city like Kansas City, MO/KS, but no. It's a five hour drive between them.

Actually, vmac3205 , I meant that Nighthawk should post a picture of himself putting his virtual foot in his virtual mouth... So I could read the comments...
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

True story.......
Last year a young blond lady was stopped at the Canadian border south of Vancouver BC Canada.
She had driven up from Portland OR which is just across the river from Vancouver, WA.
It seems this woman wanted to go to her husbands office located in Vancouver, WA because he had sent her an email saying he was not coming home as he was going to his mistresses house to live.
Now normally the Canadian Border guards are very polite and only ask if someone crossing the border is bringing anything which may be subject to duty and taxes.
This young woman was detained when she stated that she wished to declare the two hand grenades, loaded pistol and loaded assault rifle she had on the passenger seat next to her.
It seemed strange that some one heading to Vancouver WA would drive right through the correct city and then another three hours to another country
Under questioning she stated that she was following the signs which say Vancouver BC and assumed she was going the right way as her husband worked in a city named Vancouver and his initials were B.C.

I told an Irish American that St Patrick was born in Britain, rather than Ireland as he insisted, and he wanted to take my head off!

Ah, indeed, a mind is a terrible thing to waste.
Clearly, we avoided mahem because of her stupidity.

Last year I had a lady say to me in regards to my kilt, "That... THING you're wearing... It's Mexican, right?"
Alas, I just didn't have the schadenfreude in me to tell her "Sure is. Good observation." I only set her straight, very politely, of course.
