I suspect some one has been watching too many movies like Braveheart and other rather silly misrepresentations of Scotland and its history.

The clans were told that they are not allowed to bring whisky into the games field. When we complained that we would like to offer our members and guests a wee dram Lord Sempill relented and said that they will provide some complimentary whisky for us (how much he did not say !!).

I have already complained to him about the exhorbitant cost of this event and for the apparent very poor value for money.

This is just a money-making event rather than a serious Scottish-culture event.

I've been known to put a whole bottle of whisky into a few flasks and store them about my person for the enjoyment of my friends at a gathering. It's even better when everyone brings several flasks and you share them around. You could probably get the whole place wired up with your clan alone!
