Wedding guest: black vs grey tweed Argyll?

My first choice would be to wear the grey tweed jacket. It would not be out of place, though, to wear the black jacket--with a 5 or 6 button waistcoat and a four-in-hand necktie. Just don't dress in black tie at 1600h.!!
