"Jock Scott" update(2)
Hello everyone.
Well, Himself is making steady progress and has had a fairly major operation over the weekend. This was a start to repair the damage to his lower jaw and cheek bone that were fractured in several places. The surgeons are very pleased with the results and are hopeful that before long "Jock" will be able to take a few steps unaided.
Thank you so much for the messages and pictures, particularly the "Team Jock" one. Do you mind if I make a few prints of that one? I do not have the words to describe how much your kilted support has helped us all. Please, if you can find the time, don't stop!

Jane, I would be honoured if it were printed up for Jock. If you send me your email address I will send you the large version of the Team Jock collage that I created, I will Private Message my email to you, so that all you need do is respond to me with yours.
Thank you so much for the update, it truly is wonderful news all my best to you all especially Jock himself. I look forward to more reports of steady recovery.

So, does this mean he'll be his handsome self again. (I hear that there are hundred of ladies the world over concerned for his handsome face. )
Thanks for your update. Your information is anxiously awaited by one and all.

Please accept my best wishes for a speedy recovery. I miss seeing you put my dear husband in his place and I fear he is getting arrogant without you around!
Recover quickly and come back to us soon.
Be well,
Star

That's good to hear that he is recovering! Hope he is able to post again soon, Jane. Thank you for reporting to us, and do check in from time to time; even after Jock is back at the keyboard.
Thank you.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Jane here. I have been asked by "Jock's" family to explain, best I can, what happened to Himself.
"Jock" was watching a tree being felled in the park, from a safe(!) distance of about 80 yards. The tree was a very large Horse Chestnut weighing about 25/30 tons that had seen better days and was being cut down by the estate foresters.
The tree hitting the ground with considerable force,as they do, somehow caused a stone, about twice the size of a golf ball, to "squirt" out of the ground at great velocity and hit "Jock" on the head. A freak accident and absolutely no one's fault. Fortunately, the foresters were quick witted and being ex military, had a good knowledge of what to do in the circumstances and there is no doubt whatsoever that they saved "Jock's" life.
Having been airlifted to hospital "Jock" had an emergency operation to remove a blood clot on the brain and the rest you know.
"Jock" is having a real battle at the moment and "Team Jock UK", of which you are ALL members of "Team Jock International" by the way, are keeping his flag flying. Thank you so much for the messages and pictures, they really do help.
J.
Thank you, Jane, for filling in the details, and to all of you who are helping Jock through this.

Time for another round of prayers. First thanks for the quick thinking and knowledge of those that were there to give first aid and second for Jock's continued recovery.

Jane,
Thanks for the updates, and to you and Team Jock for getting him back to health so he can sort us out here!

Being in the tree business, this story is no freak accident but very common.
