both my Davidson kilts had to to be specially woven. for some reason nobody seems to stock them even in Scotland.
contrary to what you are being told about Chattan, you can not wear it. the Chattan tartan is reserved solely for the use of the clan chief and his family (at least that's what it tells me in my Complete Book Of Tartan by Iain Zaczek & Charles Phillips).
