One day I will get a classic Sherlock Holmes pipes (the name escapes me)

Until then I have a few my Dad gave me when he gave up smoking

I don't smoke often, but when I do I make the most of it...

    Cheers

I think you may be thinking of a calabash pipe, used in numerous incarnations of Holmes on the stage and in film. Watson, in the stories, mentioned that Holmes had "a litter" of pipes scattered around the mantelpiece.. including a cherry wood, a black clay and a brier. So really the field is wide open for a Holmes pipe.
    Great pictures all!

Ohhhh... Aaaahhhh! Very nice indeed. I would love to have a churchwarden. I like that Irish brand that I can't remember the name of...

Although not kilted here (shoulda been- DOH), this here's my favourite pipe. It's a 1993 Christmas Pipe, made in Italy. I was told on one occasion by a crusty ole tobacconists that the Christmas pipes are quite valuable (~$150), but I remain skeptical. Nice smokin' though!

When My Ship Comes in... I'll be at the Bus Station.

Here's one that should almost fit the bill... Just an old Dr Grabow pipe, but very close to my ideal for pipe shape. Don't think I even have this one anymore...?
Anyway... this is way back to Christmas 2000 at Fitchburg Iron Furnace, Estill Co Kentucke (God's Country as my Gran'daddy used to say). Kinda hard to get a good shot of the kilt and the pipe...

A group of former-coworkers and I get together almost monthly at one of a handful of local cigar bars. I hesitate to wear my kilt there due to the noxious smell with which my clothes usually tell the tale of the night. I cannot wait to start smoking a pipe - but my wife says that I am too young for such a hobby. Then again, she was also dead-set against the kilt as well...
