Well, Jack, I will be there. I look forward to meeting you.

Looks like an amazing Highland Games. Does it occure about the same time each year? Wife and I are thinking about scheduling vacation to head out there next year, looks like a ton of fun!

Yes, Standard - it has been the second weekend in September for all the years I've been following it.

Yes, it is always the weekend after Labor Day and has been for the 15 years I've known about it and worked at it.

Once our kids are out of the house, my wife and I are going. She's never seen mountains. I desperately want to go every year, but it's tough when the games are in September and we've got two young 'uns to get off to school.
I envy all of you who are going. Have a dram for me.

Just a note: The scotch-tasting was a real hoot (or should I write, "hout") the two times I went, so I recommend not missing it, if you so imbibe.

I attended the Longs Peak Highland Festival twelve years ago when I lived in Boulder and would love to get back there. It's an awesome place for a Scottish festival. If the planets align just right I'll make it to the games this year.

My wife and I were out there last year. It is spread out over a large area. I'm not sure if I got to see everything or not. Things not to miss... the trebuche' (sp?), the jousting, and the meatball on a stick.
