All my immediate family is very supportive of me wearing and making kilts. (Both my mother and grandmother sew. I just found out that my grandmother has been bragging about my sewing prowess and showing photos of my first x-kilt to her bridge club!)

I just found out, though, that my father-in-law doesn't approve. The in-laws were visiting a few weeks ago, and while I was at work, he mentioned to my wife that he's "not really comfortable" with my kilt wearing. (This is more than a year past our wedding, where all the groomsmen, ushers, and I were kilted.) My wife replied that it's a good thing he doesn't get a say in how I dress because she likes it.

I sure picked a good one!

P.S. Although I know it's unwise to antagonize one's father-in-law, the above revelation sort of makes me want to wear my kilt more often around him!
