    I think it looks good. Personally I think a thin yellow line of 2 threads or so down the green on each side of the blue stripe would look nice but it looks good the way you have it. The muted colours are a nice touch too.

    Thanks! I agree that a yellow stripe there would look nice, but I can't do that because the tartan is in honor of my Dad. He would never stand for anything with a yellow stripe in it.

    Lovely looking Tartan, that would be a very nice tribute to have for the man.
    What about a blue Stripe for Scotland...?

    I think you've done an excellent job creating this tartan, and what a fantastic way to honor your dad!
    I personally love the muted and ancient look of this - I would leave it alone! Others have suggested that you make something bold in it - if you do, I would make the blue stripe OR the red stripe richer. (Again, just a personal opinion! ) Sometimes when you start trying to tweak something, you lose what you were going for! I quilt and this is something I always have to be careful with - STOP when it looks right!
