    Alas.

Well, should a suitable picture form in your mind's eye after a few days or more of consideration, do let us know. There's no expiration on the challenge. Personally, I don't think you're giving yourself enough credit. You have more than demonstrated lately that you can do the things you think you might not be able to do, once you set your mind to it.

As for me, well, I tend to find good things to admire in both traditional and contemporary looks. And, I do have an opinion about what works and what doesn't. I can be specific about it, too, as others in this thread have offered in their critiques. I accept them as their considered opinions. I can appreciate your point of view, Jock, but if David had donned a tweed jacket and a tank, I would have posted the photo in the appropriate place.

    Kind regards,
    Rex.
At any moment you must be prepared to give up who you are today for who you could become tomorrow.

Rex it matters not one jot to me whether David is wearing tweed, tartan, rubber, tin foil, leather or feathers. If I like the combination I will have no hesitation in saying so, if I don't, then I respectfully point that out too. I think I have more than once passed unfavourable comment on some traditional kilt attire and some hats too!Somehow those comments did not cause the reaction as my comments have here. Its nearly 0200 hrs so I am off to bed. I have really enjoyed our discussion tonight, thank you.

I like the concepts of the contemporary and non-traditional kilts. That's not to say that I like every style of contemporary or non-traditional kilt; after all, I made some changes to my canvas kilt. I know The Wizard of BC has talked about putting together a pictorial thread of how to accessorize the non-traditional kilt, and I look forward to that.

It's interesting to see these new styles of wearing non-trads develop.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…
