I guess the surprise is gone...lol.

Actually, to answer the question of where the image came from, it was a change for our High School mascot. Previously it had been more of a cartoony Scot with a cane, a tam, and a winking eye. But in 1986 (my senior year), the class ring company put this image on our rings. The school and the senior class liked it adn so a vote was taken to use it as our mascot and replace the older fellow. If i can provide a link to the last image, you can vote on which is best.

But I really liked this and wanted to show my Scot pride in my future (God please get me through school) career.

BTW....my mom is a bit of a nudge at times...but she has a heart of gold.

Definition of a mother, my friend.

Just wants to see her darling boy succeed in life, she does. The highlander should be leaning on a large pair of barber's scissors, though...

My high school was the Spartans, so we had a kilted guy in a bronze helmet for our mascot. Notwithstanding, like any good Oregon boy in those years I wore jeans and boots and plaid shirts and smoked Marlboros.

My junior high was the "Scotties" and we had a kilted doofus for a mascot until they came up with a little black dog sporting a tartan collar and a bad attitude. The school closed after I moved up to high school. Swear to God I didn't have anything to do with it!
