    For this forum I buy cheap kilt hose, my hiking socks run $22-28 a pair. To me thats a lot. I try and not pay more than that for kilt socks!

    Duct tape? Perhaps moleskin would work as well.

    A long time ago a man with a Smokey Bear hat and booming voice demanded we wear thin cotton liner socks to prevent such problems.
