Chas, there isn't any naval equivalent. This is the 21st century. The president doesn't travel by ship.

Yes, there is. If POTUS flies on a Naval aircraft, then that aircraft is known as "Navy One".

No, actually not. We're living some 40 kilometers north of the airport, having Copenhagen between it and us, and the picture is taken 8 minutes prior to landing, but AF1 was flying at a rather low height and - a 300 mm telephoto lens was helpful, too as well as a little bit cropping in Photoshop.
(All other air traffic had been suspended at that time)

Form that angle it looks like you live in New York. j/k
One of these SAM's flew into Cherry Point while I was working their as an Air Traffic Controller and the the size of these planes is amazing. It performed a touch and go on one of our run ways and the turbulence behind the plane knocked down every runway distance marker while it was on the ground. Watching it from the control tower was awesome. Very impressive air craft!

I love the photoshop program, I spend too much time playing with it. That being said:
300mm lens at a moving target, that is still an impressive pic. You probably have a decent camera as well.

"Ahhh, aircraft, Todd! Do ships ever get redesignated?"
That is a good question...I remember during the election Bush landed on a carrier.

And the S-3 Viking he flew on was "Navy One".

Yes, I was referring to the 2 identical 747s that are mainly used.

I used to work at a company that was on the approach to Andrews AFB in Suitland Md, Home of Air Force One. When the boss is not in the plane, the crews practice touch and go's all day long. We would watch the plane make colassal loops all day long.
